Main shayar to nahi .. :)

I have an unexplanable fascination for shayaris…may be bcoz i like urdu as a language…may be bcoz i like listening to gazals…may b bcoz…hey!!!…i guess i said “unexplanable”….lets keep it so… .

This interest reached its crest during my final year of engineering…back in those days…i can say – “i was a part-time shayar” )

A memorable incident happend in 2006, its like ….

One day in chennai (one of my initial days in the corporate setup), a co-joinee (from a different college), a south-indian chap , whom i met in chennai for the first time, showed me a shayari in his cell, i was extremely amazed to see that it was one of my creations which i had circulated digitally (through cellphone ofcourse ) back in college and it somehow managed to travel miles and across cultures to find its creator in a distant land . It was then that i realized – “The world is a small place.”

Now m gonna put down some of my own lines…..i hope u wud read it and like it (too much to ask for ) )

Yaad aaye jo tum humko abhi…
Dil mein hui hulchul tabhi…
Lafzon ko tham liya zubaan ne haye…
Kehna hai kuch tumse….par fir kabhi..!!
 

Teri aankhon ke ye jo pyale hain…
Meri andheri raaton ke ujale hain…
Peeta hun jaam par jaam tere naam ka…
Hum to sharabi….be-sharab wale hain..!!
 

Har pal tera nazar-e-deedar dhundta hai…
Tujhe yaad karne ke bahane hazaar dhundta hai…
Ik baar hi sahi, na sarik-e-khayalaat ho jalim…
Dil ye mera jaane kabse…sukun-o-karaar dhundta hai..!!
 

Gum-e-zindagi ke sitamvaar bahut hain…
Ranj-o-mayusi ke deedar bahut hain…
Himmat-e-insaan ke aage kya nahi mumkin…
Mana ke sikast-o-haar ke aasaar bahut hain..!!
