“There is no secret. You just gotta believe.”
This is a quote from the movie Kung Fu Panda, which i happened to see recently. This line ignited me so much that i thought to write about it. I mean, why, why in the world, some people do and achieve which others dont even think about. There has to be something which creates this devide, Something which sepatates the achievers from the non-achievers. Why some people do what they always wanted to do while others just keep complaining. This “something” has got to be – something really great.
As the movie unfolds to find this “something”, the story moves around an ordinary panda, a big fat one, and his intense internal desire to learn and become a kung fu master. This panda resembles many of us, many of us who have an internal voice which at times (rather many times) tries to come out and tell us “Hey, do this. This is what u really want!”. But somehow could not manage to ring a bell in our heads which is occupied with the false sense of achievement. And slowly this voice vanishes.
The panda then by luck (or more appropriately “by destiny”) gets the chance to learn the art of kung fu from the greatest master of the town. In the process of learning the art, he becomes tougher and tougher and gradually gets equipped with all the moves and tricks of kung fu. But then, he is still not sure of his capability. A condition common to most of us, we learn the theories, we learn the executions, we learn the skills, but still not upto the mark. Most of us have apprehensions and doubts when it comes to taking decisions for ourselves.
Then his father gives the panda the mantra “There is no secret, You just gotta BELIEVE!!”. And it turns out, this secret “something” is actually “nothing”. There is no secret to success. There is no secret to start listning to our inner voice. There is no secret to believe in ourself. All that is required is
“YOU JUST GOTTA BELIEVE”.
I am positively moved by this movie so much so that i have decided to nurture my inner voice and make it more intense day by day, over the time, some day will come when this voice will guide me, and more importantly make me believe in me.
Whether to kill this voice or start hearing it to Believe and Become. The choice is purely ours.
